Our roastery

Leicester deserved better than burnt, boring, weeks-old coffee.

The coffee roaster by the window at The Coffee Counter roastery, Leicester

So we built a roastery in the city and started posting fresh beans to people who'd rather back an independent than a faceless chain. Proper coffee, made by people who care.

Today we roast speciality single origins and blends in small batches — and supply cafés and offices across the Midlands. Every bag is roasted to order and posted the same week, so what lands on your doorstep tastes the way the roaster intended.

We keep it simple: great green coffee, careful roasting, honest prices. No burnt supermarket beans, and no snobbery either.

Sourced with care

We buy speciality-grade green coffee from farms and importers we trust, paying properly for quality.

Roasted small-batch

Each origin gets its own roast profile, dialled in by taste — not by timer.
